Klangwelten – Unsere Sprache ist Musik

How does it feel as a musician not to be able to study your own instrument because it does not correspond to the Western European canon? Until now, you could only study major subjects such as oud, kaval, erhu, tiple or baglama at very few universities in Germany.

This is where the Bridges Kammerorchester would like to come in and support the Frankfurt Music Academy Dr. Hoch’s Konservatorium with its transcultural expertise in opening up the Bachelor’s degree programme in Music (artistic-pedagogical orientation in the profile of „Elementare Musikpädagogik/ Musikvermittlung“) for the winter semester 2025/26.

Young musicians can now apply with any instrument and begin their studies after passing the entrance exam. There is also the opportunity to prepare for the degree programme in the PreCollege.

As part of the cooperation, representatives of both institutions want to get to know young musicians in order to exchange ideas about career prospects in the field of music education/music mediation.
