Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Schilling-Sandvoss, Professor of Music Education and Vice Dean of Department 2 (Lehrämter, Wissenschaft und Komposition) at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, a seminar is held regularly in cooperation with the Bridges Kammerorchester. It is primarily aimed at teacher training students, but can also be attended by students on other music courses.

In the weekly seminar, students first deal theoretically with transcultural music education and then work with Bridges musicians to develop teaching units on Afghan or Arabic music, for example, which are then implemented in Frankfurt schools.

Bridges musicians are actively involved in the lessons as artists who perform the respective musical style live and as experts on the style and instruments.

The project was carried out for the first time in the 2017/2018 winter semester and will take place for the sixth time in the 2024/2025 winter semester. Samira Memarzadeh was the project manager until 2024.
