Stadtteiloper
Die Magie der Musik is the first „Stadtteiloper“ (District opera) by the Bridges Kammerorchester and the students of the Henri-Dunant-Schule in Frankfurt-Sossenheim.
The two cooperation partners have been working together for many years, building on a special commitment to the musical development of children. In the 2023/24 school year, the third and fourth grades of the Henri-Dunant-Schule were given the opportunity to tell their own story in the district opera house. They chose the themes of „environmental protection/nature“, „peace“ and „community“ and, together with their musical mentors, filled them with music, dance and theater during the project work.
The program includes songs from traditional contexts that reflect both the diverse musical socialization of the chamber orchestra and the international family histories of the children.
